Jonathan Gannon Praises Kyler Murray's Late Game Heroics

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon loved what he saw from Kyler Murray in the comeback win.

ARIZONA -- It's like he never left.

The Arizona Cardinals emerged victorious over the Atlanta Falcons in 25-23 fashion, the last score coming from a short Matt Prater field goal as time expired to give them their second win of the season, stopping a six-game losing streak.

The charge was led by quarterback Kyler Murray, who made his first appearance on a football field since Week 14 of last season after tearing his ACL/meniscus.

Murray went 19/32 for 249 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT. He rushed for one touchdown on the ground in his return to football.

After the game, Gannon praised Murray for his efforts:

"I just feel like I gained a new level of resiliency from this," Murray said earlier this week. "I already felt like I had that chip on my shoulder, never out of anything, never down. When you go through something like this, you find out really quick about who you are and what you're about."

The Cardinals (2-8) move forward to play the Houston Texans in Week 11. After going through Joshua Dobbs and Clayton Tune as staters, there's no questioning Arizona is happy to have their franchise quarterback back in the saddle.
