Chandler Jones Says He's 'Concerned' About Kyler Murray
ARIZONA -- The situation involving former Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Chandler Jones saw another twist on Saturday night when he posted a private text message between him and quarterback Kyler Murray.
He initially reached out to Murray on Oct. 5 with a new phone number and encouraged him to delete the others previously saved.
He then followed up with a string of texts on Saturday night that reads as follows:
"Kyler this isn't like you to not respond to me papito"
"You good? I'm worried about you, could've sworn I had a 'dream' you were at the same psych ward I was at in Vegas."
"It also felt real bro hit me back"
Jones tagged Murray in the Instagram story he posted and followed with, "If I don't get a response in two days on IG or something.. im posted his number as well.. this is just a warning to LF"
LF could potentially mean Larry Fitzgerald, somebody Jones has name-dropped in a handful of videos and tweets (that are now deleted) on social media.
Jones posted another story that read, "When was the last time buddy posted something online? Why isn't he 'ready to play' #LostSouls"
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Sep. 30 Jones was released by the Las Vegas Raiders after he was arrested.
Jones - 33 years old - is Arizona's all-time sack leader after defeating the previous record of 67. Jones played for the Cardinals from 2016-21 before hitting free agency and signing a three-year, $51 million deal with the Raiders in 2022.
He was placed on the NFI list by Las Vegas three weeks ago.
