The Arizona Cardinals have their new head coach in Jonathan Gannon, and now they’ve reportedly found their defensive coordinator.

NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reports the Cardinals hiring Nick Rallis as their next defensive coordinator.

Rallis - who was on staff with Gannon in Philadelphia - will become the youngest coordinator in the NFL at 29-years-old.

He first got his start as a defensive quality control coach with the Minnesota Vikings in 2018. He then joined the Eagles a LB coach in 2021, the same year Gannon took over as DC.

The Cardinals reportedly are letting Vance Joseph out of his contract to pursue other opportunities. He's set to interview for openings with the Philadelphia Eagles and Denver Broncos in the coming days after Gannon met with him on Thursday afternoon.

Gannon is in the middle of assembling his staff. Here's the interviews he reportedly set up for both sides of the ball.

Requested Offensive Coordinator Interviews

Drew Petzing, Cleveland Browns QB Coach

Petzing (who is set to be 36-years-old) first got his start in the league as a football operations intern in Cleveland back in 2013. He then spent some time with the Minnesota Vikings with varying titles on the offensive side of the ball before heading back to Cleveland in 2022.

His interview was scheduled for Friday over Zoom according to Albert Breer.

Drew Terrell, Washington Commanders WR Coach

Terrell, 31, got his coaching start back in 2018 with the Carolina Panthers as their offensive quality control coach. After two seasons he moved to Washington where he went from assistant to permanent wide receivers coach in 2021.

No time/date has been reported for his interview.

Joel Thomas, New Orleans Saints RB Coach

Thomas has extensive experience in college but has been with the Saints since 2015 as their running backs coach.

Thomas does not have a known time or date for his interview.

Troy Walters, Cincinnati Bengals WR Coach

Walters - similar to Thomas - has over 10 years of experience in college and recently joined the professional ranks with the Cincinnati Bengals as their assistant WR coach in 2020. He was promoted to their permanent position coach the following season.

No known time/date for his interview just yet.

Other Requested Defensive Coordinator Interviews

Dave Borgonzi, Chicago Bears LB Coach

Borgonzi and Gannon worked together in Indianapolis for three seasons when Borgonzi operated as LB coach and Gannon coached the Colts' secondary from 2018-20. Last year was his first season in Chicago.

His interview is scheduled for Saturday over Zoom according to Albert Breer

DeMarcus Covington, New England Patriots DL Coach

Covington, 33, got his start in the NFL as a Patriots coaching assistant from 2017-18. He became the team's linebackers coach in 2019 before accepting the defensive line coach role in 2020.

Covington's interview time/date hasn't been reported.
