Vance Joseph Reportedly Will Interview With Broncos, Eagles
The Arizona Cardinals have officially brought on Jonathan Gannon as their head coach, and as a result a few dominoes will fall.
Two major dominoes will be the vacancies at both offensive and defensive coordinator under Gannon's new regime. With Vance Joseph still under contract after the Kliff Kingsbury dismissal, there was some speculation that he could return to the staff after being knocked out of the race for the team's vacancy at head coach.
When asked on Joseph's status by reporters after his press conference on Thursday, Gannon said he would speak with him before making a decision.
Just a few hours later, CBS Sports NFL insider Josina Anderson reported the Cardinals told Joseph they were letting him out of his contract, allowing him to pursue other opportunities.
Per Denver's Mike Klis, Joseph is set to interview with the Broncos and Eagles for their open defensive coordinator positions. Joseph spent two seasons with Denver as their head coach before being fired and eventually moving to Arizona.
Joseph would be replacing Gannon's former position with Philadelphia, which he held for two seasons before accepting the head coaching gig with the Cardinals.
Joseph was one of the first candidates to interview with Arizona while Gannon was the last coach Bidwill/Ossenfort met with.
