Cardinals Make Week 17 Roster Moves

The Arizona Cardinals will also look to place Jonathan Ledbetter on Injured Reserve.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals announced the following roster moves on Wednesday:

"The team has signed defensive lineman Phil Hoskins to the active roster from the practice squad and has designated defensive lineman Leki Fotu to return from the injured reserve list," read the press release.

"Fotu can begin practicing and the team can activate him to the 53-man roster at any time prior to the end of the season.

"In addition, the team has signed linebacker Caleb Johnson and re-signed defensive lineman Jacob Slade to the practice squad. The signings took place today at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center in Tempe, AZ.

"Johnson (6-1, 235) entered the league in May with the Jets as an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Miami. He has spent time on the practice squads of the Jets and Steelers this season. Johnson played one season at Miami after spending two seasons at UCLA. He appeared in 30 games in his college career and had 137 tackles (76 solo), 7.0 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, two interceptions, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

"Johnson will wear jersey #42 and Slade will wear #64."

Fotu was spotted on the practice field today as the Cardinals prepare for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon told reporters yesterday Jonathan Ledbetter would be out for the season with a knee injury and will head to injured reserve, joining other defensive starters such as Kyzir White, L.J. Collier and Josh Woods on the list to end the season.
