Cardinals Meet With Top CB at Combine

The Arizona Cardinals have met with Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell.

INDIANAPOLIS -- As the days progress here at the 2024 NFL Combine, the amount of prospects meeting with teams goes step for step.

The Arizona Cardinals - much like their 31 counterparts - are stacking interviews left and right with potential prospects, and you can add Toledo CB Quinyon Mitchell to the mix of names.

Mitchell has risen up draft boards after a strong Senior Bowl outing, where he displayed the ability to run with some of the biggest names entering the 2024 NFL Draft, which is set for late April.

The Cardinals are in obvious need of a cornerback after heavily relying on rookies Garrett Williams, Kei'Trel Clark and Starling Thomas last season.

"It was good, just talking," said Mitchell on his meeting with Arizona. "They didn't put me on the chalkboard, we were mostly just talking about techniques and stuff like that."

The Cardinals also met with Iowa DB Cooper DeJean and Alabama CB Terrion Arnold.

Mitchell was recently pegged to go to No. 17 in Mel Kiper's latest mock draft on ESPN. He's well-liked across the NFL Draft community thanks to his size, speed and ball-hawk abilities.

"I didn't come here to be mediocre. I came here to break records," said Mitchell.
