Arizona Cardinals fans received a bit of good news yesterday when NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported Budda Baker was indeed at the team's facility ahead of mandatory minicamp this week.

It was a sigh of relief for many throughout the Valley following months of speculation around Baker's future after he reportedly told the Cardinals to either make him the highest paid safety in the league or trade him.

Rapoport and Cardinals team beat reporter Darren Urban confirmed Baker was present yesterday, though there was no sign of him on the field during the team's first minicamp practice this week.

Baker is supposedly in the building, though reporters are set to speak with head coach Jonathan Gannon shortly after practice today, so we may gain more clarity when that comes.

Yesterday during a radio appearance on Arizona Sports' Luke and Wolf, Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort said negotiations with Baker were going great.

"He's a big part of this team. ... I think we're going to continue to keep our discussions and line of communication open, which Budda's been great. His representation's been great," Ossenfort said.

"We're going to get through this week here and see where we're at."

Baker currently has two years left on his deal with no guaranteed money.

While Baker was not present, most of the team was. Here's some video footage from today, which was the first of two minicamp practices this week:
