Bears QB Justin Fields Took Shot at Cardinals DL After Win
ARIZONA -- Now we know nobody along the Arizona Cardinals' defensive line will be winning the 100m dash anytime soon.
Following the Chicago Bears' 27-16 win over Arizona at Soldier Field, quarterback Justin Fields was so confident nobody along the Cardinals front could catch him that he told his offensive linemen not to hold.
"You know, just extending plays. Last week they did a lot of drop-eight stuff, so we were kind of expecting some of that stuff. But you know, they don't have as fast of d-linemen, so I knew I would be able to extend plays and stuff like that," Fields said.
"I think that's really it. I told the O-linemen, like, yo, we don't have to hold. Like if they break free, like, they are not as fast as Myles (Garrett) and the guys we played last week. The guys did a great job up front when I didn't have to do anything."
Fields was sacked once on the day. He also rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
Arizona lost another body along the defensive front in Jonathan Ledbetter, who is now officially out for the season after suffering a knee injury according to Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon.
