Report: Cardinals Narrow Down Coaching Search; Decision Could Come Tonight

The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly narrowing their search down to either Lou Anarumo or Jonathan Gannon, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.
In this story:

We're officially into the early stages of the offseason following the conclusion of Super Bowl LVII, and the Arizona Cardinals are still without a head coach.

That could change soon though, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. He reportedly earlier today the Cardinals have essentially eliminated New York Giants OC Mike Kafka with their focus on either Philadelphia Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon or Cincinnati Bengals DC Lou Anarumo.

The Cardinals are just one of two NFL teams without a head coach at this time, joining the Indianapolis Colts. Eagles OC Shane Steichen is expected to take the opening in Indianapolis, per multiple reports.

Arizona is hosting Gannon for their first interview today after interviewing Anarumo twice, with the second meeting coming late last week.

As Weinfuss referenced in his tweet, a decision could be made as soon as tonight.

We're just about two weeks from the NFL Combine in Indianapolis with free agency set to kickoff soon after. Arizona has 30 free agents to make a decision on before the 2023 NFL Draft in April.
