Chargers Vs Raiders: Betting Odds, How To Watch, Predictions And More
Your Los Angeles Chargers are set to play their second to last road game of the regular season tonight in an AFC West division matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Charger have gone 1-5 in their last six games and are coming off a devastating loss against the Denver Broncos last Sunday that might've been it for their season as former pro bowl quarterback Justin Herbert's season is officially over after a fractured right index figure required surgery.
Injuries
Before the injury, Herbert was having an incredible season that could've drawn MVP interest towards him if the Chargers held a better record. His season will go down for 3134 yards through the air with 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions and a QBR of 63.9.
Easton Stick will be getting the start tonight for LA.
Aside from Herbert's injury, LA will also be without wide receiver Keenan Allen and defensive back Deane Leonard. While the Raiders will be without center Andre James and offensive tackle Kolton Miller.
Last time they played
The Chargers and Raiders both have a record of 5-8. A loss tonight wouldn't officially eliminate them both from the playoffs but would almost seal the deal.
The last time the Chargers and Raiders played was in week four of the regular season in LA. The Chargers won the game 24-17. The highlight of that game was Khalil Mack's six-sack performance against Las Vegas.
What's changed
Since then, the Raiders are a very different team. On October 31st, head coach Josh McDaniels was fired and the team announced that linebackers coach Antonio Pierce would become the interim head coach for the Raiders. They also went on to bench quarterback Jimmy Garroppolo for the remainder of the year and are playing Aidan O'Connell.
The Vegas offense has struggled with O'Connel as he has thrown more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (4). He also has a QBR of 31.1 which is below Zach Wilson of the New York Jets.
Las Vegas's defense however has been incredible since Pierce has taken over as they have yet to allow an opponent to score over 20 points on them, including the Kansas City Chiefs.
Last week, they lost to the Minnesota Vikings 3-0 at home on a game that was ended on a field goal.
Betting Odds
Coming into tonight's game, the Raiders are a 3-point favorite against the Chargers according to the latest NFL odds from sports aggregator SportsLine.
In tonight's game, the over/under currently sits at 34.5.
