Chargers Get Justin Herbert Big Weapon in Latest NFL.com Mock Draft
The NFL Draft is still a couple of months away, and many mock drafts are starting to emerge from pundits, fans, and analysts.
The latest NFL.com mock draft has been released, and analyst Gennaro Filice has detailed the first round. Filice reveals that the Chargers will use pick #5 to get a multi-faceted weapon that Justin Herbert will be a fan of.
"#5 - Brock Bowers
NEWS FLASH: Jim Harbaugh likes tight ends. Frankly, though, Bowers is more accurately described as an offensive weapon, and I envision Justin Herbert taking full advantage of his multi-faceted abilities."

Many mock drafts have said that Herbert will be paired with dynamic tight end Brock Bowers from Georgia. This is definitely not a bad pick.
Bowers is a 6'4" 240 lb big man that can be used as a blocking TE, or simply used in the passing attack for the Chargers.
Bowers ended his 2023 campaign with 714 yards and 6 TDs, which would give the Chargers a multi-faceted weapon on the TE front. The team does have Donald Parnham and Gerald Everett, but both dealt with injuries in the 2023 season.
Adding Bowers would give the team a young player that could immediately step in and become a day-one starter.
