Chargers Injury Report: Joey Bosa, Now In Walking Boot, Officially Out For Second Half Vs Packers
Early in the Los Angeles Chargers game against the Green Bay Packers, Bolts star defensive end Joey Bosa was carted off the field due to a foot injury. It was a devastating blow for the team, and Bosa was seen crying into a towel on the way out.
Now, he is being listed as out for the remainder of the game and he is in a walking boot. This isn't a great sign for the Chargers, and many believe that it could be a season-ending injury for Bosa.
If Bosa is indeed out for the season, or if he is forced to miss significant time, the Chargers defense would take a hit. He has been one of the main catalysts for this team this season, and they have struggled at times with him on the field.
Other guys will need to step up with Bosa injured, and the Charger's season may come down to the next-man-up mentality. It's an unfortunate situation for one of the league's better pass rushers, and the injury bug seemingly caught him again.
Bosa has 6.5 sacks on the year and 20 combined tackles for the Chargers, and he has been one of the key members of the defense. His return this season helped elevate the team, and opponents had to double-team him oftentimes.
Having him on the field allowed others on the Chargers defensive unit to get more traction, and they will need to find ways to get pressure without him. Hopefully, the Bolts can get the win over the Packers today and then they can figure out the game plan moving forward.
