Chargers Injury Report: Joshua Palmer Sidelined With Significant Injury
The bad news continues to bear down on your Los Angeles Chargers. If it's not one thing, it's another for the Bolts, and this time, it has to do with their young wide receiver, Joshua Palmer.
According to Chargers team insider for the OC Register Elliot Teaford, Palmer is sidelined with a concussion after experiencing symptoms on Sunday, a day after their Week 16 primetime matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Without Palmer, the Chargers will be without three of their top receivers. Their wide receiver one, Keenan Allen, has missed the past two games due to a heel injury and likely won't return for the rest of the season. And their wide receiver two, Mike Williams, has missed most of the season after suffering a torn ACL back in Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings.
It's been misfortunate after misfortune for the Bolts in 2023, a season where things were supposed to turn around and prove they are among football's elite. Instead, the injuries and bad play pilled up, and now the team will need to refocus and reset for the 2024 season.
Palmer has played in nine games this season and missed a handful of games in between. Nonetheless, he's still managed to be impactful, collecting 32 receptions for 537 yards, two touchdowns, and a catch percentage of 62.7%.
The Bolts are already lacking weapons, and without Palmer, others like rookie Quentin Johnston, Jalen Guyton, and Alex Erickson will need to step up big time in their upcoming matchup against the Broncos.
