Chargers Injury Report: Keenan Allen's Mysterious Injury Revealed

This season just went from worse to what the heck is happening?

When it rains, it pours for your Los Angeles Chargers. In their loss to the Denver Broncos, the team lost their quarterback, Justin Herbert, for the game and possibly for the entire season. But it doesn't end there.

According to a team insider from the LA Times, Jeff Miller reported on an injury to wide receiver Keenan Allen. Allen is reportedly dealing with a heel ailment.

Allen entered the blue tent yesterday, which seemed odd at the time, and now we know why. Allen managed to finish the game, but it was possibly his worst outing of the season. Allen could only muster six catches for 68 yards on 12 targets, with his longest being 22 yards.

That may seem like a good game, but 2023 has been the year of Keenan, and that was his weakest performance of the season thus far.

Hopefully, this heel injury isn't as severe as it may seem. The Bolts will already be without Herbert for their upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders on the road in a short week. The absence of Allen in an already depleted wide receiver room would be detrimental.

It was a good sign Allen finished the game, and hopefully, he will be able to roll out there to be the difference maker in a must-win scenario this Thursday.
