Chargers Injury Report: Justin Fields, 4 Other Bears Officially Inactive Vs LA

Further injury luck for LA.

Your 2-4 Los Angeles Chargers will be hosting a really bad 2-5 Chicago Bears team that will be missing three starters and a pair of key reserves tonight.

Per Chicago's official Twitter/X account, starting quarterback Justin Fields, starting defensive back Jaquan Brisker, and starting offensive lineman Nate Davis have all officially been ruled out against the Bolts ahead of their SoFi Stadium matchup this evening.

Reserve defensive back Terrell Smith and second-tier offensive lineman Nate Davis will also sit for Chicago tonight.

Fields, out with a thumb injury for the second straight week, has had a disappointing start to the 2023 season. The 6'3", 228-pound OSU product boasts a miserable 37.7 quarterback rating for the year. He has passed for 1,201 total yards, at a 61.7% completion rate, and 11 touchdowns.

Brisker, meanwhile, has been a big part of the Bears' defense (such as it is) in only his second pro season. Chicago selected him with the No. 48 pick out of Penn State. The 6'1", 200-pound defender has recorded 45 total tackles (25 total) and 0.5 sacks across his seven contests with Chicago.
