Chargers News: Brandon Staley Makes Rallying Locker Room Speech After Almost Blowing Vikings Game

Staley and the team were fired up over their first win of the young season

The Los Angeles Chargers escaped with a nail-biting win over the Minnesota Vikings in a Week 3 thriller. LA prevailed after a bone-headed call by head coach Brandon Staley in the fourth quarter with less than two minutes left in the game.

Still, the LA defnese stepped up when it mattered most and propelled LA to their first victory of the young season. After the game, Staley presented the team with three game balls, all going to those who had themselves a game and made history in the process. Check out how that went and who he delivered the game balls to.

The result of that game could've easily gone the other way after Staley went for it on 4th & 1 in their own 24-yard line. It was a questionable call (and still is if we're being honest), but luckily, the ball bounced their way (literally), and they handed out game balls instead of suffering their third loss in a row to open the season.

Staley should thank his lucky stars that the defnese came up big after a not-so-great performance by that side of the ball once again, particularly the run defense.

A win is a win, especially on the road where they're hard to come by. We'll see if this type of performance can bring out the team we all had high hopes for in the weeks to come. It won't be easy without their WR2 in Mike Williams, but they have the depth to make up for his presence.
