The Los Angeles Chargers are filled to the brim with superstar talent, and about half are on the defensive side of the ball.

However, none may be bigger than their safety superstar Derwin James. James is the best safety in the game, but he can do so much more than be a ballhawk on the secondary. We've seen James play all over the football field, which makes him a force to be reckoned with. It comes as no surprise for Charger fans when they see him line up anywhere other than safety, but can we see him line up elsewhere come the 2023 season?

We might just, as he was seen today at practice working with the defensive lineman and getting pointers from veteran Morgan Fox.

James can play anywhere, but even this is a surprise. Could we maybe see him play in the line occasionally for Brandon Staley's defense? We're not sure, but it would sure be a treat to witness. The superstar safety takes a back seat to no one, so if he says he can do it, he probably can.

The 27-year-old can do some of everything, allowing for scheming and personnel versatility. He can play from the slot on one play to the box on the other play and play in the deep for the rest of the game.

It's exciting to see James impact the game the way he does, and we cannot wait to see what else he does on the gridiron this season.

We'll see if he'll get some reps on the line and be a threat like his star teammates, Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, are.
