Chargers News: Fans Debate Joey Bosa's Defensive Value Compared to Division-Rival Star

Who are you taking?

The Los Angeles Chargers will look to take control of the AFC West for the first time since 2009. It won't be easy as they will try to take down the Goliath of the group in the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are the team to beat in the division and the entire league, as they are the Super Bowl champions.

However, the Chargers will have other teams to worry about, particularly in their division, like the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chargers and Raiders are ultimate rivals, and with that comes some individual battles that reign, even if they play on both sides of the ball.

Pro Football Focus Twitter account asked fans to pick the better edge defender between Raiders Maxx Crosby and Chargers Joey Bosa

The comments were split, and some were quite interesting.

As you can see, many brought their facts to the fight, but others brought context, too.

Bosa has struggled with injury over the past couple of years, and because of that, the numbers between the two are eery similar.

In the past four years, Bosa has played 49 games, while Crosby has played 66 games and has remained healthy. Health plays a factor in this debate; unfortunately, Bosa has not been that as of late. However, when he is on and healthy, he is one of the better edge defenders in the league. A lot will ride on Bosa as he is primed to lead the Chargers' defense to new heights in 2023.

Crosby, on the other hand, has made a name for himself and will look to do the same with his defense. The debate will get spicier this season as we will see both display their talents all season long.
