The 2023 NFL season has arrived. All 32 teams are in training camp, and the first preseason game is one week from now. It will only be a matter of time before we see your Bolts in action, and we cannot wait for it.

There's a ton to be excited about regarding your Chargers, and Justin Herbert is one of the main reasons we're excited. There was no question Herbert was going to get his money; the only question was, 'When?' and we got that answer on Tuesday.

We all know how talented Herbert is, especially us, who get to see him week in and week out. He's received a ton of slack from pundits and on social media because of how 2022 ended, but not everyone is bashing him. Former NFL offensive lineman Brian Baldinger appeared on NFL Total Access and praised the young QB and said called him the foundation of the team.

"It's just fun to watch Justin Herbert throw a football. Watching that guy [Justin Herbert] throw the football, you're like, 'That's what real talent looks like.' He's the foundation of this team. With Kellen Moore coming in there, with [Rashawn] Slater coming back, Zion Johnson going next to him, they have to be able to run the ball better. Herbert doesn't have to throw the ball 700 times like he did a year ago. Maybe if they get more help up front, we're going to see more production from Justin Herbert this year."

Herbert is one of the most talented guys in the league, and his arm is a big reason for it. It's marvelous to watch, and in his short career, he's already had some jaw-dropping plays.

Herbert's talent is no secret, but that could only get you so far when comparing him to his counterparts. He needs to win, and he needs to win now. His new contract extension only put more pressure on him, but he will be ready to live up to those expectations and make the Chargers a threat.
