The Los Angeles Chargers turned heads on Tuesday afternoon after news broke that they signed their franchise quarterback Justin Herbert to a massive contract extension.

The 25-year-old QB signed a five-year, $262.5 million extension to make him the highest-paid player in NFL history. It was well-deserved, and Herbert spoke with the media after he signed the extension. Justin shared his appreciation for the organization and expressed how he never wanted to be anywhere else.

“I’ve never wanted to be anywhere else,” he said. “This is where I’ve wanted to be for, shoot, as long as I’ve been born and playing football. It’s a dream come true.”

The contract was a long time coming, and it was the talk of the offseason. The young QB got the money he deserves and said he can now focus on his job.

“I think it’s huge because now our focus is on football,” Herbert said. “It’s not going to be a distraction for us.”

Since he was a little boy, Herbert wanted to be the lead guy for the Chargers.

And now, he will be that for the foreseeable future. He's still in disbelief of the deal and is happy to have football on the front of his mind now.

“I’m still trying to process the whole thing,” Herbert said. “I feel free and just excited to go play football. That’s the biggest focus right now, just football. I don’t have to worry about anything else. I’m exactly where I need to be with this team.”

We would rather have no one else than Justin, and we can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.
