Chargers News: Keenan Allen Thought His Time in LA was Numbered After The Bolts 2017 First-Round Pick
The Los Angeles Chargers have one of the deepest wide receiver rooms in the league, and you could thank veterans Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
When healthy, those are among the best duos in the league, and they’ve been so for a number of years. Both of these guys have brought out the best in each other, and they’ll show they have plenty left in the tank in the 2023 season.
We cannot wait to see what else they have in the tank, and it will be must-see TV.
However, certain people didn’t think this duo would last this long or that this duo would even be a thing, like Allen.
Allen appeared on a podcast earlier this week and kept it real, stating that the addition of Williams in the 2017 Draft spelled trouble in his time with the Charger organization.
The addition of Williams at the time was huge but a bit head-scratching for fans as they took him early with the number seven overall pick.
You can not blame Allen for feeling the way he did; he just came off his first Pro Bowl, where he had career highs in targets and receiving yards. What Allen thought would be the worst for him happened to be the best for himself and the organization.
They both grew under the guidance and leadership of Philip Rivers, and now they are doing the same with Justin Herbert.
Hopefully, Allen and Williams continue to do their thing with the Bolts and spend the rest of their careers in Los Angeles, terrorizing opponents' secondaries.
