With standout Los Angeles Chargers defensive edge rusher Joey Bosa headed to the team's Injured Reserve for at least a few weeks with a nasty ankle sprain, LA is wasting little time in adding to both its active and practice rosters.

Per Daniel Popper of The Athletic, the Bolts are inking an immediate replacement, EDGE Andrew Farmer II, to their active 53-man roster. Popper also reports that the club is inking fullback Zander Horvath onto their practice team.

Farmer will compete with Khalil Mack, Tuli Tuipolatu, and Justin Hollins for minutes on Brandon Staley's very challenged defense.

Los Angeles will have its work cut out for it this week, when it squares off against the cream of the AFC crop, the 8-3 Baltimore Ravens. At 4-6, the Chargers are essentially fighting for their playoff futures. While some blame can be placed on injuries, not just to Bosa, Tanner Muse, Chrs Rumph II, Amechi Uzodinma, JT Woods and Raheem Layne defensively, but also to wide receivers Mike Williams and Joshua Palmer and center Corey Linsley on offense.

Wide receiver Jalen Guyton, tight end Gerald Everett, and running back Isaiah Spiller are also all questionable to play.
