Your Los Angeles Chargers have been a team on a mission this free agency period. They are looking to wipe the ending of the 2022 season from their memories and bounce back this year with an even better squad and a lot of wins.

However, before even thinking about the playoffs, the Bolts will have to focus on trying to win their AFC West division first and foremost. The Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs did so last season and they are not going anywhere. In fact, they were able to steal Drue Tranquill from Los Angeles and get the upper hand there.

Then you take a look at the Denver Broncos and at first, it doesn't seem like they will be much of a threat. They placed last in the division in 2022 with a 5-12 record and recorded the lowest points per game in the NFL. However, a lot of this was due to a weak offensive line that was very easy to break and plays were almost impossible to run for Denver.

Denver's front office looked to immediately prioritize strengthening the protection around QB Russell Wilson and went with the best option available. They brought in Mike McGlinchey, who had spent his entire career with the San Fransisco 49ers, on a 5-year deal worth $87.5 million.

McGlinchey started in 69 games during his San Francisco tenure and saw his production go up with more opportunities. The Chargers will have to get creative when it comes to breaking his blocks.

The Broncos also welcomed in Ben Powers from the Baltimore Ravens. He agreed to a 4-year contract with the franchise that will pay him $52 million. This was a huge signing for the front office and many viewed it as a steal considering Powers only allowed one sack last season.

Luckily for your Bolts, they have made key acquisitions and re-signings that have made their defensive line very strong. I'm very excited to see both of these teams go at it in 2023.
