Chargers Rumors: NFL Columnist Lists Bolts As Top Destination For Pro Bowl Linebacker
If one thing was clear in the Los Angeles Chargers' meltdown in the 2022 playoffs, it was that they desperately needed some upgrades at defense. The entire season was pretty rough for them on that end and they ranked among the worst run-coverage teams in the NFL.
However, an answer to that solution may have come into the picture now. Chargers Gm Tom Telesco recently made it clear that the franchise is looking to prioritize their offense right now. They are well-aware that the Kansas City Chiefs are the kings of their division right now and the front office feels that they need to be able to match their scoring output in order to take over.
But what if some moves are made to improve the defensive line especially now that Devin White has reportedly requested a trade. He is still just 25-years-old and already has a Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, and All-Pro to his name. Mike Kashuba of 'Last Word on Sports' believes that the Bolts are a favorite to land him.
"It should be noted the Chargers have plenty of space to make the move, and most of the key pieces in place outside of linebacker to have a serviceable defense in 2023. If the Chargers want to take the next step as a serious playoff contender, adding a former Pro Bowler is a solid move. The AFC West is going to be centered around slowing down the Kansas City Chiefs for the foreseeable future. The Chargers need to upgrade to stop Patrick Mahomes."

In 2022 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he suited up in 17 games and posted 124 tackles. He is productive in every aspect on defense and even if the asking price is a lot for him, the Chargers should take a look into him.
