You just can really never know exactly how a draft in sports is going to play out. There have been numerous times where a team waits until the very last minute to actually decide what they're going to do and even when a player gets picked, we've also seen them get dialed away that same day.

The Los Angeles Chargers find them in an interesting first round position this year. They are selecting at number 21, which is not bad at all considering some teams don't even have a pick that early, but the draft class is just so 'up in the air' right now. Nobody really knows exact projections for the top guys as of now and even LA's reported top prospect in Bijan Robinson is all over the place on draft boards.

For that reason, there is the possibility that LA takes the safe route and trades down so they can acquire another later pick in the process. Their front office has made it clear they like the following rounds because it allows their pool of selections to open up more.

With that in mind, The Athletic's Daniel Popper believes we should keep an eye out for the Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles to come to sort of agreement on that end.

"If the Chargers choose to move back all the way from 21 to 30 with the Eagles, they could realistically acquire an additional second-round pick. The difference in value between 21 and 30 is 65 points. The 62nd pick is worth 84 points. The 219th pick is worth two points. The 125th pick is worth 21 points. This deal is exactly aligned in value and would give the Chargers four picks in the top 85."

I am fairly confident that the Chargers are weighing all of their options equally and a trade like this could be likely.
