In this story:

Here we are, 10 years after the then San Diego Chargers drafted D.J. Fluker with their 11th pick in the 2013 draft. Coming out of Alabama, he was highly-touted for having the "girth, length, and respectable movement skills to become a top-notch starting right tackle."

However, Chargers fans know exactly how that worked out. The draft profiles for him could not be more wrong as his first two seasons as a right tackle were pretty rough to watch. The Bolts would then try him at right guard for some time and the results weren't too different. Fluker's option was not picked up by the front office and he was out of the NFL following the 2020 season.

But he appears to be in the middle of one of the craziest comebacks we've ever seen. It all started with his recorded workouts at Alabama's Pro Day where he looked to be in far better shape than his playing days.

Fluker confirmed during these workouts that he has an NFL contract on his mind before the 2023 season begins and it appears that he just may be granted that.

Reports have begun surfacing that multiple teams are showing interest and want Fluker to come in for individual training sessions and your Chargers just so happen to be on that list.

This does make sense considering that he is just 32-years-old. Standing at 6'5 and weighing in at 340 pounds, there certainly still could be a place for him in the NFL.

We'll have to see how those tryouts go and determine if he looks as dominant as he did at the Pro Day. I don't think it would hurt for the Chargers to give him another domination, especially considering the contract would be small

Everybody loves a classic comeback story.
