Chargers News: Insider Thinks LA Can Avoid Schedule Loss Vs One Of NFL's Worst
This past week the Los Angeles Chargers were out on their bye week, and now they will return to the field trying to improve from their poor start. LA holds a record of 2-2 on the season, and they will need to get off to a strong start once they take the field again this week.
LA is scheduled to play the Dallas Cowboys at home, before going on the road to face the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in a big divisional matchup. Both of these games will be tough tests for the Bolts, and they could heavily impact how the Chargers season goes.
After that, the schedule eases up slightly for the Chargers, but nothing will come easy for this team. Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire looked at the next few games on the Chargers schedule and predicted how each one of them would go. After two tough games, they return home to face the Chicago Bears, which should be a gimme if they play their game.
“The Chargers then return home to face the Bears, who are coming off their first win over the Commanders. After looking like a dud of a team, Chicago found some life with a masterful performance by Justin Fields and D.J. Moore. Fields threw for four touchdowns and Moore accounted for three of them and 230 of their 282 receiving yards. Defensively, they were dominant, only allowing 29 rushing yards and sacking Sam Howell five times. The Bears will have matchups against the Vikings and Raiders before meeting the Bolts for Monday Night Football, so the jury is still out if Fields and company can carry this momentum over to their next games. Nonetheless, I see Los Angeles minimizing Fields and taking advantage of a Chicago defense that’s still allowing an average of over 30 points per game.”

The Bears should be an easy win for this team, but the Bolts also love to have a flare for the dramatic. They tend to play down to their competition, so this could be a trap game.
Chicago isn’t a very good team, but they do pose some problems for the Chargers defense. They have some playmakers that could make life tough for the Chargers secondary, especially if they suffer any more injuries.
LA can’t afford any more hiccups this season, so they will need to make sure they win these easier games. The fate of their season depends on it, otherwise, it will once again be a lost season.
