Chargers News: Bolts' Next Two Opponents Will Reveal True NFL Standing

We will learn a lot about this team in the next few weeks.

The Los Angeles Chargers came into the new season with hopes of a brighter year. They wanted to put the playoff collapse behind them and start anew with the team that they put together.

LA brought in a new offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, to help with the weird lapses that the team saw last season. There was a ton of optimism that this was going to be the season that the Bolts put things together, but through the first four weeks, plenty of questions still surrounded them.

The Chargers dropped their first two games of the season in close games. But two narrow victories in the last two weeks have them sitting at 2-2 heading into their bye week. However, things don't get any easier once they return to game action.

The Chargers open their post-bye week scheduled playing against two of the toughest teams in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys. Both teams have started the year off very well, and they will be a good measuring test for the Bolts to see where they stand among teams in the NFL.

If the Bolts can come out of these next two games 3-3 or 4-2, then things may be on the up for them. But if they fail to win either of the games, things could get really ugly for this squad.

The AFC Conference is full of really solid teams throughout, so the Bolts can't afford to keep dropping games. We will see exactly what the Chargers are made of in these next few weeks.

Will they step up to the plate after the bye week? Or will they fold in their cards against the top teams as they have in previous years?

The future of this team may be at stake because head coach Brandon Staley is already on the hot seat. And starting the year 2-4 with a team that was supposed to have title aspirations isn't a great look.
