Keenan Allen Poised to Overcome Last Season's Disappointments
We're only nine days away from the start of the 2023 season, Charger fans. The excitement and anticipation are at an all-time high for what should be an incredible and must-see season.
New beginnings are ahead of the Bolts, especially considering how the 2022 season ended. It lingers among the common sports fan when the Bolts pop up on social media or when pundits discuss it on television. That's the reality of the situation, but once that first kick gets going at Sofi Stadium next Sunday, all that will be in the rearview mirror.
However, the feeling of that loss for many players and fans still stings, including their star wide receiver, Keenan Allen. Allen has gone through some stuff with the Bolts, but nothing like that January night in Jacksonville. To this day, it still lingers, but he is poised to make sure something like that never happens again for his team.
Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen told USA TODAY Sports the team is "definitely playing with a chip on our shoulder, knowing that we kind of fumbled one."

It's hard to forget about something like that, but instead of letting it eat up inside, he's embracing it and taking it head-on.
That's the approach every single player in the organization has, and it's the right one to have. Everyone in the organization has had their way of dealing with it, and although it's been tough, it needs to be had.
LA must prove they aren't the same old Chargers. They can't be, and they're not built that way. This team has so much talent; by that alone, it's impossible to be. The goal is simple: prove everyone wrong while they prove themselves right.
Allen and the crew are eager to finish the job this time.
