Multiple Chargers Stars Practice Together for 1st Time this Offseason in Minicamp
Your Bolts are getting back in the groove of things, and it's great to see as they try to redeem themselves after how their 2022 season ended.
It will be a fun season to witness for Charger fans and football fans, but that all starts in the summer. Mandatory mini-camp is underway for your Chargers at their practice facility in Costa Mesa this week. After an eventful OTA's where some key players didn't attend, most were in attendance on Tuesday for mini-camp.
Chargers insider for the Athletic Daniel Popper caught them putting in work on the gridiron.
Justin Herbert, Quentin Johnston, and Keenan Allen were among the players who attended OTA's, as many were impressed by the rookie in his first appearance in the powder blue. Herbert completed his first team drill last week as he participated in a 7-on-7 drill and looked good in it. Allen, a soon-to-be 11-year veteran, knows the importance of OTA's and used it as a time to get back into the groove of things.
As for Mike Williams, it was his first time appearing in team activities since last season. Williams has been battling a small non-surgical back fracture that he suffered in Week 18 against the Denver Broncos. He's still getting his feet under him, but seeing him back on the field and looking better is great.
Another star player recovering from an injury is corner J.C. Jackson, who also attended mini-camp.
Jackson was in a helmet and participated with his teammates after not doing so in OTAs. The 27-year-old ruptured his patellar tendon and remains questionable to be ready for the start of the season. He will look to redeem himself after a tough 2022 season where he saw himself get benched due to poor play.
There's much to look forward to with the Bolts, and we cannot wait to see how it plays out. We hope to see a great season filled with wins and excellent health.
