USC WR Brenden Rice Reveals Details on Visit With Chargers and Jim Harbaugh
The Los Angeles Chargers are looking to bolster their WR room after losing both Mike Williams and trading away Keenan Allen. While the team still has Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston, they are aiming to find a viable starter through the young talent coming out of college.
The Chargers are picking at #5, but could instead trade back to secure more draft capital. If they choose to bypass WRs like LSU's Malik Nabers and Washington's Rome Odunze, they could still pick up a young receiver in the later rounds.
One of those young receivers is Jerry Rice's son, Brenden Rice, who plays for the USC Trojans. Rice showcased his skills atUSC's Pro Day today and revealed that he has drawn interest from the Chargers.
"I just had my visit with them. I love the coaching staff, I love who they are. Jim Harbaugh recruited me out of high school. Shoot, I believe I would be great within that system."

Rice has been pegged as a day-two pick and could fall to the Chargers at pick #69 in the third round.
Rice has already met with Chargers brass and Harbaugh, so he knows what he is getting into by being drafted by the team. Harbaugh wants physical players, and Rice could provide a physical developmental WR that could be brought along to become an offensive powerhouse.
The draft might not always shake out the way that people predict, but if the Chargers are impressed with Rice, they will make a play for him.
