In 12 games with Boston College last year, Zay Flowers made it clear that any NFL squad that takes him will likely get immediate production at the wide receiver slot. He recorded 78 receptions and 12 touchdowns on over 1,000 total yards and was named to the All-ACC team.

Could the Los Angeles Chargers be the team that makes this young man's dream come true and add him to a squad that will allow him catch dots from Justin Herbert? The direction in which they will take with their first-round pick is not clear yet but Flowers has been linked to the Bolts recently.

It's not hard to tell why. While everybody loves what the veterans in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams have brought to LA for years, it's going to be hard to rely on them for years to come as the Chargers hope to contend. Their production hasn't regressed yet but both are getting up there in age.

Why not use this year's draft to get yourself some insurance and a receiver that could grow with Herbert? David Latham of 'Last Word On Sports' is a firm believer that LA would be a great landing spot for the college prospect.

"This is probably the earliest point in the draft that Zay Flowers could reasonably go. The Los Angeles Chargers have two great receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but they don’t have anyone behind those two. What’s worse is that Allen is getting up there in age, and Williams’ physical style of play naturally leads to injury. When you play in the same division as the Chiefs, you need as much firepower as you can get, and Flowers would help Los Angeles keep up in the inevitable shootouts when these two teams meet."

If the Chargers do follow a path that Tom Telesco recently teased and trade down to the second round, then it makes it a little more difficult to get Flowers as he is projected to go in the first round.
