Travis Kelce’s Jersey Sales Spike After Taylor Swift Appearance at KC Chiefs Game

Swift coming to see Kelce play in person has sparked a massive influx of recent attention for the Chiefs' star TE.

The Kansas City Chiefs are making headlines for their recent blowout win over the Chicago Bears, but there's one thing drawing even more attention than Andy Reid's team getting above .500 for the first time this season.

In case you somehow managed to miss the news (kudos for such an impressive feat), superstar singer-songwriter Taylor Swift attended Chiefs-Bears on Sunday and sat with Travis Kelce's mother, Donna, for the entirety of the game. Swift being in the crowd for the game came amid rumors of her and Kelce dating, and even New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had comments on the budding (rumored) romance

In the aftermath of Swift coming to watch Kelce play in person and the two being spotted leaving Arrowhead Stadium together, Kansas City's star tight end is receiving a huge influx of buzz. Joe Pompliano of Huddle Up noted late on Monday afternoon that Kelce "gained 300,000+ social media followers" and now has a "top 5 selling jersey in the NFL." A recent ESPN article also explained that Kelce's jersey sales have increased by a staggering 400%. Here's more:

According to sportswear and fan merchandise company Fanatics, Kelce's jersey was one of the top five for the NFL on Sunday. He "saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com," a spokesperson told The Associated Press via email.

Sales spiked on the same day that Swift was spotted watching the Chiefs play the Bears alongside Kelce's mother, Donna, from one of Arrowhead's glass-enclosed suites.

The jump in love for Kelce wasn't the only thing that stood out from Sunday afternoon. Per FOX Sports PR on X (formerly Twitter), Chiefs vs. Bears drew 24.3 million viewers nationally. "America's Game of the Week" was the most-watched telecast of the week on any network despite many folks' out-of-market broadcasts getting switched to a different game once it was clear that the Chiefs had the outing in the bag. As the Chiefs continue to get spotlighted as one of the best teams in the league and Kelce's star shines bright, America appears to be loving Kansas City.
