Colts, Jaguars Injury Report: Top Defender Added to List
The week of practice is now complete and the Indianapolis Colts are prepared to begin their 2023 campaign, welcoming the Jacksonville Jaguars to Lucas Oil Stadium for an early-season divisional showdown.
As far as injuries go, both teams find themselves in a good spot. The Colts haven't ruled any players out yet, but they did add All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to their injury report on Friday.
COLTS
- Limited Participant — RB Zack Moss (arm)
- Full Participant — LB Shaquille Leonard (concussion)
THURSDAY
- Limited Participant — RB Zack Moss (arm)
- Full Participant — LB Shaquille Leonard (concussion)
FRIDAY
- Did Not Participate — CB JuJu Brents (personal)
- Limited Participant — DT DeForest Buckner (forearm), RB Zack Moss (arm)
- Full Participant — LB Shaquille Leonard (concussion)
QUESTIONABLE — RB Zack Moss
Moss is the only player to carry an injury designation into Sunday's game after Shaquille Leonard cleared the concussion protocol earlier this week. Likewise, Buckner popped up on the injury report as a limited participant on Friday with a forearm injury but is good to go.
Moss still needed to get his conditioning right after being out since late July with a broken arm, so this being his first week of practice, there's a decent chance he doesn't suit up on Sunday. In that instance, it'll be Deon Jackson and Evan Hull carrying the load while Jake Funk and/or Jason Huntley is likely called up from the practice squad.
JAGUARS
WEDNESDAY
- Did Not Participate — S Antonio Johnson (hamstring)
- Limited Participant — DL Tyler Lacy (hip)
THURSDAY
- Did Not Participate — S Antonio Johnson (hamstring)
- Limited Participant — DL Tyler Lacy (hip)
FRIDAY
- Did Not Participate — S Antonio Johnson (hamstring)
- Limited Participant — DL Tyler Lacy (hip)
OUT — S Antonio Johnson, DL Tyler Lacy
The Jaguars only have a pair of players on the injury report, as both Johnson and Lacy are out, but both may have been on the gameday inactives list regardless. The rookie Lacy is a backup defensive lineman while Johnson is listed as the fifth safety on Jacksonville's roster.
