NFL Draft: Commanders Trade Up for QB?

The Washington Commanders are still seeking a franchise quarterback. Could the team trade up in the first round of the NFL Draft to acquire him?
In this story:

The Washington Commanders have a pair of quarterbacks in-house in Jacoby Brissett and Sam Howell ... but that might not be enough.

With four quarterbacks worth taking in the top-10 of this year's draft, the Commanders may decide to roll the dice and take one of them. However, a trade would likely be necessary.

Bleacher Report proposed a deal that allowed the Commanders to trade up from No. 16 to No. 5 with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks have the No. 5 pick as a result of the Russell Wilson trade to the Denver Broncos last year, and Seattle could look to add on to their haul from their blockbuster deal.

"With three passers likely to come off the board early in Anthony Richardson, C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young, Washington could at least put itself in the running to grab one by trading up from No. 16," Bleacher Report writes.

If the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts were to take quarterbacks in the top four picks, it would likely leave just one of the high quarterback prospects left, and trading with the Seahawks would solidify the chance to take whichever one was available.

Bleacher Report's price for trading up would only cost the Commanders a fourth-round pick this year and a first-round pick next year, which isn't a whole lot if you truly believe one of these quarterbacks can win you a Super Bowl.
