The Washington Commanders equipment crew just got busy.

The team is announcing the assigning of jersey numbers for the new guys added to the team in the early period of NFL free agency.

And the numbers are in ...

Cameron Dantzler, who comes over from the Vikings, has worn No. 3 in Minnesota and will do the same here.

Jacoby Brissett, who comes over from Cleveland, where he wore No. 7, will be No. 12 here.

Marcus Kemp, who comes over from the Chiefs, will be wearing No. 19 as he generally did in K.C.

Cody Barton, who comes over from Seattle, will continue to wear No. 57.

Nick Gates, who comes over from the Giants, will wear No. 63 after wearing No. 65 in New York.

Andrew Wylie, who comes over from the Chiefs, will wear No. 71 here after wearing No. 77 there.

And Abdullah Anderson, who comes over from Atlanta, wore No. 65 there but will be No. 92 for Washington.

What we're still waiting on, in even bigger news than the laundry, is who will be the literal "No. 1'' in Washington ... in regard to who will own the team. The latest is here ...
