The Washington Commanders are shuffling things around with the coaching staff, including a new quarterbacks coach.

The Washington Commanders announced several changes to the coaching staff Tuesday morning.

Ken Zampese, the quarterbacks coach from 2020-22, has a new title of senior offensive advisor/game management. The quarterbacks coach role has been granted to Tavita Pritchard, who has worked with the Stanford football team since 2010. Pritchard started off as a graduate assistant but worked his way up to the offensive coordinator role from 2018-22. Now, he looks to see if his coaching skills can hold up in the NFL.

Brent Vieselmayer, an assistant defensive backs coach from 2020-22, is now the primary coach for defensive backs after the departure of Chris Harris to the Tennessee Titans.

Richard Rodgers Sr., an assistant defensive backs coach from 2020-22, is now the senior defensive assistant/safeties. Rodgers specialized in safeties throughout most of his tenure with Ron Rivera in their days together in Carolina.

Cristian Garcia, a defensive quality coach for the past two seasons, received a promotion and is now the assistant defensive backs/nickels coach.

More changes are likely coming, especially with Eric Bieniemy likely bringing some of his people into the fold. The biggest role left to fill for the Commanders is the wide receivers coach, which Drew Terrell vacated after exploring an opportunity to coach with the Arizona Cardinals.
