Commanders Priority 'Put in Front' for Josh Harris, Ownership Group

Josh Harris and the ownership group is ready to change the Washington Commanders culture and bring glory back to the franchise.
In this story:

It wasn't just Josh Harris who pulled out his pocketbook to purchase the Washington Commanders from Dan Snyder.

Harris needed a team of accomplished, rich businesspeople to help purchase the franchise for an NFL-record $6.05 billion. Every member of the ownership group is accomplished in their own right, but how can they all come together to devote their attention to this new business venture?

"All these accomplished people – Mitch [Rales] runs one of the biggest companies in the world. Mark [Ein] has a lot of activities. Magic [Johnson] runs Magic Johnson Enterprises and has an enormous amount going on. David Blitzer has his day job at Blackstone," Harris said.

"And if you knew the other partners, a lot of who are here, they would also have super busy lives. But all of us said, look, we're from Washington. We grew up with the then-Redskins. We know how much this team meant to this city, which is a divided city in a lot of ways. Let's face it, politics are tough. And the city is tough. And so this is a responsibility that we need to take and put in front.

The Commanders' ownership group has the chance to do something special and revitalize this franchise from the depths of ineptitude they have been in for the past 25+ years.

It's going to take time and commitment, and it appears these people are willing to put in the work to make it happen.
