The Washington Commanders are back in the saddle today ready to continue adding to their draft class.

After taking Mississippi State cornerback Emmanuel Forbes with the No. 16 overall pick, the Commanders hope to add more significant players to their team on Day 2. Head coach Ron Rivera didn't go too far into specifics, but shared a few goals going into the second day of the draft.

“The biggest thing is we will react to what happens in front of us," Rivera said. "I mean, again, when we go back in there'll be a few guys that we probably were hoping would be there tomorrow that may already be taken. So, we'll find that out and then we'll react to that as well.”

Just as we saw on Day 1, the Commanders are keeping their cards close and not giving away too much. The team still has several needs on the offensive side of the ball, none of which have been addressed yet. While a quarterback feels like a possibility, Rivera expressed his content towards the signal callers currently on the roster.

"We still have confidence in and very comfortable with is what we have at quarterback," Rivera said after the Commanders picked Forbes. "We think [QB] Sam [Howell] and Jacoby, and [QB] Jake [Fromm] for that matter, give us a good room right now."

However, the team could use some protection for their quarterbacks on the offensive line or a tight end that could give whoever is throwing the ball a big target in the middle of the field.
