Washington Commanders, Seattle Seahawks Tied After Hard-Fought First Half

The Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders are in for a massive second half as the two teams are tied going into the locker room.

The Washington Commanders and Seattle Seahawks are heading back to the locker room at Lumen Field exactly how the game started ... all tied up. It's a 9-9 game at the end of the second quarter.

The game started off with a bang from the Commanders after it took just four plays for Washington to open up the scoring. Quarterback Sam Howell found running back Brian Robinson Jr. on a short wheel route near midfield, and he was able to navigate through the Seahawks defense for a touchdown from 51 yards out to take a lead.

The touchdown was Washington's longest offensive play from scrimmage so far this season and marks the sixth straight road game where Robinson Jr. has scored a touchdown.

Robinson Jr. became the fourth player in franchise history to record 1200 rushing yards and 200 receiving yards in his first 22 games, joining Mike Thomas, Reggie Brooks, and Antonio Gibson.

Joey Slye missed the extra point, giving Washington just a 6-0 lead.

The Seahawks responded with a field goal of their own to cut the deficit in half. That score has launched a field goal party in Seattle, with the last four scoring drives ending in three instead of six.

Opportunities have been there for both teams, and it has gotten us up to this point in the game. Whichever team can seize the opportunity and find the end zone in the second half will likely come out of this game with a win.

The Seahawks will return the second half kickoff.
