CeeDee Lamb: 'I'm The Top Receiver in the Game!' Dallas Cowboys Star Sets NFL Record, Throttles New York Giants

Receiver CeeDee Lamb made history in Week 10, leading the Dallas Cowboys to a 49-10 win over the NFC East-rival New York Giants. And when we say he "made a statement,'' we mean what he did ... and what he said after he did it.

“I’m the top receiver in this game,'' Lamb said. "And it’s no question about it. If there is, I’ll see you all again next week.” Lamb is first player in the NFL’s Super Bowl era to record double-digit catches and at least 150 yards in three straight games. Value on his contract extension is climbing.

In Dallas' dominant 49-17 victory over New York, Lamb hauled in 11 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. That marked his third consecutive game with 150+ receiving yards, setting a franchise record. Lamb also set an NFL record with three games in a row with at least 10 catches and at least 150 receiving yards.

Lamb previously had 12 catches for 158 yards in a 43-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8, and 11 catches for 191 yards in a losing effort against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday.

Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins (1,076 yards) and A.J. Brown of the Eagles entered the day as the two leading receivers in terms of yardage this season, but neither had the chance to add onto their totals because both teams are on the bye in Week 10. Lamb wasn't able to catch either, but he's gaining on the two as he now has 975 receiving yards this season. Dallas had their bye in Week 7, so Lamb has now played as many games as Hill and Brown.

For the time being, Lamb is now third in the NFL in receiving yards, leapfrogging Puka Nacua of the Rams (827 yards) and Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills (834 yards). Nacua and the Rams are on the bye in Week 10, while Diggs and the Bills will host the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football tomorrow.

Never say never, but it's going to be difficult for Lamb to pass both Brown and Hill in the Offensive Player of the Year race, and that assumes that the award will go to a receiver. But there are three First-Team All-Pro receivers selected each year, and Lamb has a chance to become the first Cowboys wideout to grab the honor since Dez Bryant in 2014.

Said Lamb about his confidence in his status: "If there is (any question), I’ll see you all again next week.”
