Dallas Cowboys Are ‘Losers,’ Says Richard Sherman in Ignorant Jerry Jones ‘Hot Take’
ARLINGTON - The arenas in which Jerry Jones could be termed a “loser” are remarkably few.
But outrageously and ignorantly, Fox Sports’ Richard Sherman just thinks he found one.
"The winners focus on winning,” the retired All-Pro cornerback Sherman said on the foolishness-filled “Undisputed” TV show. “And that's what the Philadelphia Eagles are doing. Losers focus on the winners and that's what Jerry Jones is doing.”
What in the heck is Sherman doing here, essentially lumping the Dallas Cowboys and their owner as “losers”? Why? What?
What Sherman has done is attempt to take a short cut to a “hot take” by failing to understand that Jones is issuing a chuckle-filled self-effacing evaluation of himself and his “envy” of the success of his rivals in Philly.
What Jerry actually said (and the audio is included here, so you can see how any thinking person - who actually takes the time to listen! - recognizes Jokester Jerry …
"'What have I done to deserve this?” Jerry said with a laugh on 105.3 The Fan. “Why can't that ball bounce the right way?' All of those things go through your mind."
Again, Richard … he’s joking ... (click to the 9:52 mark), wishing for a few balls to carom in the direction of the 8-3 Cowboys as a way of closing the NFC East gap with the 10-1 Eagles.
Still, Sherman plows forward ….
“Nobody stumbles and lucks into 10-1, Jerry,” scolded Sherman. “Focus on your team. You focusing on the Eagles isn’t going to win you any games."
Sherman is wrong across the board here. The Cowboys play Seattle on Thursday but have every right to also be aware of next week’s visit from the Eagles. Jones’ front office is presently so “focused on their own team” that it is involved in a free agent tug-of-war for the services of linebacker Shaq Leonard …
Cowboys BREAKING: Shaq Leonard Leaves The Star To Visit Philadelphia; Signing This Weekend?
But that also allows for a Philly awareness, as the Eagles are the suitor.
And Jones’ Cowboys as “losers”? A win tonight would give Dallas the second-best record in the NFL. … thereby literally establishing the exact opposite of Sherman’s lazily goofy claim.
