ARLINGTON - When the Dallas Cowboys take the field for "Sunday Night Football'' at AT&T Stadium against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles, "Big Mike'' will be on the sideline.

"Big Dom'' will not be.

Eagles security staffer Dom DiSandro, who engaged in an unprecedented NFL action last week by jumping into an altercation with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw - the "security'' guy suddenly making an NFL sideline the very opposite of "secure'' - is being barred from being on the AT&T Stadium sideline for this game.

DiSandro can be on the team plane that arrives at DFW Airport. He can be at the team hotel in DFW. He can serve as a Saturday night "bouncer'' and on Sunday can exchange locker-room high-fives and hugs with coaches and players who seemed last week to be congratulating him for his overly-emotional boundary-crossing.

But "Big Dom'' will not be allowed to cause further on-field trouble, at least not this week as the 10-2 Eagles play the 9-3 Cowboys - led by coach Mike McCarthy as he recovers from surgery for acute appendicitis - for first place in the NFC East.

DiSandro and other Eagles’ officials were reportedly summoned to the league office in New York for a session with with commissioner Roger Goodell, and further punishment could come as the league continues its investigation.

Did NFL Just Make a New 'Big Dom' Rule? Cowboys, Eagles Get Memo

But the bottom line is a simple one, and it's in the NFL rulebook as re-emphasized this week in a memo to all clubs that reads, "Please ensure that all members of your game-day staff understand that their role does not extend to being involved with game day altercations and that they must refrain from such involvement."

Of course, the other 31 teams need no such memo, as an incident like this has really never occurred before. And if the NFL is serious about making sure it never happens again?

"Big Dom the Bouncer'' being banned from entering this stadium's playing area should be only the start. The Eagles'' "Director of Insecurity'' should never again be allowed in any NFL stadium.
