Crazy 'Cool' Brandin Cooks Stat Key to Cowboys Slaying Packers in Playoffs?

Dallas Cowboys receiver Brandin Cooks is gearing up for his third playoff campaign, and a crazy stat has popped up and it might be key to advancing past the Green Bay Packers.

The Dallas Cowboys finished their regular season with back-to-back wins to finish the season with a 12-5 for the third consecutive year.

Now, with the No. 2 seed clinched and the potential for back-to-back home playoff games, the Cowboys have a great chance at reaching the NFC Championship game -if they're good enough.

Facing the Green Bay Packers, the Cowboys are favorites to advance to the Divisional Round, and receiver Brandin Cooks could be key to it.

In what is a curious, yet mindblowing stat, the Cowboys are 11-0 when Cooks surpasses 20 receiving yards this season, so getting him involved against the Packers could be key to advancing to the Divisional Round.

"I honestly did not have a clue about that, I don't look at it. but that's cool, I guess," Cooks said.

With Cooks ending his first year as a Cowboy with 657 yards and eight touchdowns from his 54 receptions, he developed into a serious weapon for Dak Prescott and the offense down the stretch.

Being the veteran in the locker room and having been to the postseason before, Cooks can be a valuable source of knowledge at this time of year.

With so much at stake now as it's win or go home, Cooks tries not to change his routine too much.

“You try to keep everything normal as far as your daily rhythm every day throughout the week," Cooks said of his routine this week. "Obviously there's going to be some sense of urgency because there's no tomorrow in the sense right it's win or go home every single week.”

The veteran caught a touchdown pass in each of his final three games to end the regular season as he and Prescott have developed a connection in the end zone that just keeps giving.

As for his mindset heading into just his third playoff campaign?

“Just show up do my job be the best I can be for my team when my number's called just go out there and make a play.”

With Cooks in good form, and that "cool" stat of Dallas being undefeated when he gets 20 or more receiving yards, the path forward seems clear for the Cowboys if they want to slay the Packers. There are all sort of numbers that matter here, but this is a fun one ...

Get Cooks involved. Get Cooks his 20 yards. And that would be "cool.''
