Cowboys Ex Ezekiel Elliott Workout Video Going Viral; How's Zeke Look?

Cowboys ex Ezekiel Elliott, as he awaits an invitation to sign with a new team, is working out with trusted trainer Josh Hicks and the video is up and running on social media.

FRISCO - Ezekiel Elliott is no longer employed by the Dallas Cowboys, having been cut earlier this offseason. But the two-time NFL rushing champ still lives in the literally shadow of The Star, so it is natural that he would conduct his offseason workout here.

But just because videos of his work are "normal'' doesn't mean they're not "viral.''

The latest example?

Elliott, as he awaits an invitation to sign with a new team, is working out with trusted trainer Josh Hicks and the video is up and running on social media.

Hicks has worked with Zeke for the last few offseasons on his agility, though a critic might say that this particular video does not exactly showcase that.

Indeed, a critic (and probably more than one) has said exactly that.

Elliott scored 12 TDs in his final season in Dallas, but rushed for 876 yards on 3.8 yards per carry in 2022, both numbers having represented career-low marks. The Cowboys' baton has been passed to Tony Pollard, who broke out for his first 1,000-yard campaign and made the Pro Bowl.

Put it all together and Zeke wasn't destined to be a $15 million running back anymore. Still, the work continues, sometimes in teammate Dak Prescott's "Dak-Yard,'' sometimes at a Frisco training center with luminaries like Ja'Marr Chase of the Bengals present.

Zeke is not a Cowboy and the transaction comes with the business, unfortunately. And so, it seems, does the criticism of a social media video from Twitter Scouts.
