Cowboys Hire 2 New Coaches to Help Mike McCarthy Offense
FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys are looking forward to improving their team this offseason for a hopefully long playoff run in 2023.
A small piece of that was brought into the coaching fold on Wednesday when Ramon Chinyoung was hired as Dallas' assistant offensive line coach.
Chinyoung comes to the Cowboys after a season in Denver as the Broncos' offensive quality control coach, his first season on an NFL staff.
Prior, Chinyoung served in the high school ranks for 10 seasons in the Houston area.
That follows the ESPN report that the Cowboys have added Will Harriger as an offensive assistant. He has a past tie with both defensive coordinator Dan Quinn in Atlanta and new offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer in Seattle and Jacksonville and was at USC last year.
The Cowboys' coaching staff continues to take shape after Dallas promoted Brian Schottenheimer to offensive coordinator, replacing Kellen Moore, who now serves in that capacity with the Chargers.
Chinyoung will be working alongside Mike Solari, who was named the offensive line coach earlier this month.
Solari and Chinyoung will be responsible for improving the already stout offensive line that presently includes at least two probable Hall of Famers in Tyron Smith and Zach Martin, a much-improved Tyler Biadasz.
Tyler Smith will be entering his second year after an impressive rookie campaign where he filled in for the injured Tyron Smith and then stayed in the starting lineup after Tyron returned.
