'Who The F*** Wins the NFC?' Bold Cowboys Prediction from FOX Analyst

Ahead of the 2023 season, Nick Wright declared his support for the Dallas Cowboys as Super Bowl contenders.

It would not be an NFL offseason without endless discussions and debates around who will win the Super Bowl, especially surrounding everyone's favorite team to hate - the Dallas Cowboys.

Of course at this point in the offseason there is not too much else to talk about, not until training camp starts that is. Until then, debates will be had about which teams are true championship contenders.

So, where do the Cowboys fit in that equation? Well, it depends on who you ask. On Colin Cowherd's podcast, Nick Wright admitted the popular picks out of the NFC will be the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.

"I feel like 98 percent of the people in our industry are going to, when it comes [to] pick the Super Bowl time, gonna have coming out of the NFC, the Eagles or the Niners," Wright said. "Almost everyone's gonna pick those two."

And for good reason, of course. Those two teams are fresh off an NFC championship game appearance, with the Eagles having gone toe-to-toe with the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Not Wright, though, who put himself in the Cowboys' corner by picking them to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, albeit not in a confident manner.

"I'm gonna instantly regret it and hate myself for it, but I think I might believe in the Cowboys this year," Wright said.

There are plenty of reasons to believe in the Cowboys, at least on paper. The offense is led by quarterback Dak Prescott, who is surrounded by elite weapons in running back Tony Pollard and the receiver duo of CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks.

On the other side of the ball, perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidates Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs lead the charge.

Despite all the talent across their roster, however, the Cowboys have come up just short in the playoffs in recent history. Why then, you might ask, is Wright picking Dallas?

Well, he doesn't trust the 49ers' quarterback situation and questioned whether or not Hurts' success from 2022 is sustainable. And beyond Philadelphia or San Francisco, Wright has zero confidence in the rest of the NFC.

"So, if the Eagles aren't there, and the Niners quarterback situation is in flux as anyone, who the f*** is winning the NFC? You just go through it," Wright said.

Until the season starts and the games are actually played, we won't know who will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. It could be a repeat of last season with the Eagles, or the 49ers could make it back under Purdy's guidance.

Just as likely, though, the Cowboys come out of a top-heavy conference for the first time since 1995. ... and it can be Dallas as "who the heck wins the NFC.''
