Micah Parsons Claims Dallas Cowboys Even 'More Confident' After Eagles Loss

FRISCO - The human psyche is a complicated thing - maybe so complicated that a person can convince himself that there is success in failure? That "losing'' is "winning''? That "confidence'' can grow from the Dallas Cowboys' 28-23 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday?

That is the position being taken by vocal Cowboys leader Micah Parsons, who either believes it ... or is trying to speak its reality into existence.

"I feel like we have even more confidence now," Parsons said. "I feel like everybody had us out and everyone was praising this Eagles team. Obviously, we gave them their best fit. ...''

In a sense, this is reflective of the way an underdog talks; taking solace in coming close when your critics predicted you would do no such thing. But can "coming close'' get the Cowboys "closer'' in the Week 14 rematch between the 8-1 Eagles and the 5-3 Cowboys?

That is Parsons' position. And it's the position of the Cowboys' offensive leader Dak Prescott as well.

Dallas outgained Philadelphia by 114 total yards. ... was an inch shy of a game-winning TD late after having early been an inch wide of a 2-point conversion that might've set up overtime. Meanwhile, on defense, "Dallas Doomsday'' was successful in the clutch, holding the Eagles to three-and-outs on each of their final three drives.

Eagles React to Micah Parsons: 'Taking On Hell with a Squirt Gun!'

"We know we played good enough to win that game," Parsons said. "But we didn’t. That’s just how the dice rolls sometimes. Sometimes you play good enough and good enough isn’t good enough. That’s just the reality of the game.

"I’m not even going to spit fuel on the fire,'' Parsons said - with confidence. "We’ll see them again in four weeks."
