'No Thanks, Zeke!' Ezekiel Elliott to Sign with Jets? 2 New York RBs Reject Plan

Yes, the two Jets runners are being disrespectful to Cowboys ex Ezekiel Elliott. Welcome to Aaron Rodgers world in New York.

FRISCO - Well, this is awkward.

Ezekiel Elliott, the fading superstar running back recently cut by the Dallas Cowboys, is choosing between the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cincinnati Bengals, according to a report.

Hey, that's a heck of a story. Zeke playing for Dallas' hated rivals from Philly? Zeke playing in Ohio, where he starred at Ohio State? Zeke in the Big Apple?

Ah, maybe not on that last one, if the Jets running backs room has anything to say about it.

The Jets' Breece Hall is openly expressing the opinion that he thinks the free agent Zeke should not be connected with New York.

"I think we good over here," Breece said on social media, adding a reach-out to fellow Jets running back Michael Carter to ask for confirmation.

Carter aligned himself with Hall by replying, "agreed."

Oh. My.

Hall, last year's No. 36 pick in the NFL Draft, got off to a great start before tearing his ACL. He is expected to return to being the top Jets back in 2023.

But he doesn't have the credentials to match the two-time rushing champion Elliott. And Carter? He's accomplished very little in New York.

Are the two runners being disrespectful to Elliott? No doubt. What empowers them to think they can speak out against a Jets front office plan? We will suggest it's very obvious: Jets ownership has granted what we're calling "de facto GM'' power to trade target QB Aaron Rodgers. And hey, is Rodgers can dictate what receivers and blockers he wants on the Jets, why can't Breece Hall dictate what running mates he wants.

Good luck in New York, everybody.
