'Protect AT&T Stadium!' Dallas Cowboys' Dak Prescott Preaches Key to Winning at Home
The Dallas Cowboys moved to 8-3 on the season after their 45-10 blowout win over the Washington Commanders as Dak Prescott continued his white-hot form at AT&T Stadium.
Dak was doing as he pleased as he finished his day's work, completing 22 of his 32 passes for 331 yards and four touchdowns (and a leg of turkey halfway through the fourth quarter).
But despite the blowout win on Thanksgiving, Prescott knows the importance of continuing the climb - accentuated by their home dominance.
"We've gotta continue what we've been doing these last few games and just build off of that," Prescott said. "Show the best versions of ourselves week-in and week-out. That's what it's about. Two more home games coming, that obviously helps.
"We've gotta take care of business as we've done at home. Protect this stadium and just continue to build."
Since the Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Cowboys have been a different beast, as they have won five out of their last six games and have torched teams in the process. (Even in a loss at the Eagles, the offense played well).
Prescott is now putting himself into the MVP conversation, as his stats over that time are eye-popping. Dak is completing 70.5 percent of his passes, has 1,874 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and just two interceptions while having a rating of 122.6 and a 5-1 record.
With CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, Jake Ferguson, and now Tony Pollard all eating during that time, the "Texas Coast Offense" is coming to life in a devastating way.
"We feel good about what we got," Prescott said. "We feel good about the players we have. We feel good about the plays that we're gonna call.''
Turkey Trot Top 10: Cowboys Feast Again, Blow Out Commanders
They should also feel good about being at home when they are. No team in NFL history has opened a season with five home games featuring all 20-points-or-more blowouts ... until now. The Cowboys have outscored visitors 205-60 at home and have never trailed.
Dallas, having won an NFL-active-high 13 straight at home, is now within five games of the 18-game winning streak from 1979-81, when coach Tom Landry's Cowboys were in midst of an NFL-record run of 20 consecutive winning seasons.
The Cowboys will be basking in the glory of their Thanksgiving Day obliteration of Washington, but there is already one eye on the Seattle Seahawks who come to AT&T Stadium next Thursday ... with the home team prepared to protect its Arlington house.
